Formula 2 Official Test Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, Spain.
February 26th 2019
JM Correa began the pre-season in Jerez and tested his first run with the Sauber Junior Team by Charouz , a 600 + Horse Power under 1,500 pounds Race Car.
After almost three months, JM got behind the wheel and savored his first ride on a typical sunny (but fresh) Spanish afternoon.
"I was looking forward to driving again; I had not been behind the wheel since Abu Dhabi after the season 2018 had ended, it was an accelerating feeling. I've had a very positive experience and quite a productive day with the new team. Together we are learning how the team works, adapting our strategy, and making necessary changes. I am thrilled with the results of my formation during the winter. I have worked very hard and understand that the season is long and demanding. My goal right now is to continue to stay strong physically and mentally" Juan Manuel commented in Jerez at the end of first testing day.
"I have gained confidence on this track, the new asphalt helps my grip when hitting the chicane which decreases my breaking," said de American driver Juan Manuel, who achieved the thirteenth time on the first day of testing.
JM Correa is a American-Ecuadorian 19 years old driver. Rose in Miami he currently lives in Barcelona, Spain and will compete in Formula 2 as driver of Sauber Junior Team (Czech Republic) during the 2019 season.
