Kicking off his career as a World Champion in Karting, Juan Manuel Correa is now rising to the cusp of the Formula One World Championship. The American motorsports driver heads to his most important year behind the wheel. He competes in the FIA F2 category in 2019 Season driving for Sauber Junior Team by Charouz Racing System. In addition to this, the young driver is already confirmed as a development driver for Alfa Romeo Racing F1 Team this current 2019 season.
Born in Ecuador in 1999, JM has been on a fast pace career becoming a Cadet National Champion at only nine years old in Karting. Upon relocating to Miami, he competed in the main karting circuits of USA winning in 2013 the USA Rotax National Championship and then the Rotax Junior World Champion, becoming the first American ever to obtain such an honor.
This success changed his life, and he was recruited by the Lotus F1 Team to join their Junior Driver Program, and at the early age of 14 years he moved to Europe, and he started competing in the CIK/FIA European Karting Championship.
JM’s passion, talent, and determination enable him in 2016 top graduated in open wheel Formula racing enjoyed PremaPower Team in the F4 campaign. In midseason 2017 JM once again claimed the Formula ladder system to join Jenzer Motorsport in GP3 Series.
Focused on physical fitness, conditioning, and mental preparation, JM is continually pushing himself above and beyond the usual daily limits.
