Jenzer Motorsport was founded in 1993, when team owner Andreas Jenzer was still racing. Competing in Formula Ford 1600, Jenzer convinced some customers to buy a number of cars in the brand new Formula Ford 1800 Zetec class. The first driver Andreas looked after went on to win the first Swiss title in this new class. It wasn’t long before success in international championships, which was important to the team from the start, began coming Jenzer’s way.
Jenzer Motorsport offers young drivers 15 years of age and up the perfect starting platform in Formula racing. Additionally, their participation in the GP3 Series sees the team enter the Formula One environment, where the motorsport ladder leads from GP3 to Formula 2 and from there to Formula One.
Jenzer Motorsport has gone on to win numerous drivers’ and teams’ titles. They have been ever-present in the GP3 category, competing in the last seven seasons (2010-2017). The Swiss outfit has pocketed six wins in the GP3 Series along with 20 podiums and six fastest laps.
